The CONTROL Resonant SteelBook is a physical console edition, with the game, a metal case, fine-art prints and a key-art poster. Physical copies are now scheduled for October 15, 2026, following the digital launch. Remedy's release-date media kit shows separate PS5 and Xbox packaging.

The metal case does not establish entitlement to the digital artbook, soundtrack or AWE Mission Outfit. Those belong to the separately described Digital Deluxe package. A retailer may bundle additional items, so compare its itemized contents rather than the product photograph alone.

Why some listings show September

The original buying guides were written before Remedy moved the physical date. The later August 18 announcement specifies October 15; it takes precedence over the earlier September 24 date for discs. Delivery day can still depend on a shop's region and shipping method.

Is there a Collector's Edition?

The verified launch materials identify Standard, SteelBook and Digital Deluxe. They do not substantiate an additional, separately named Collector's Edition. If a shop uses that phrase, inspect the actual contents and platform before assuming it describes another official tier. This is a limit of the listings reviewed, not a claim that no future collector product can exist.
