Use the developer’s 30-hour campaign and 50-hour completion estimates for planning, with clear limits on what those figures measure.
Gameplay designer Sergey Mohov estimated about 30 hours for CONTROL Resonant's core experience and around 50 hours for players pursuing everything in a July 2026 interview. Treat those as developer planning estimates, not a measured average of finished player saves.
| Goal | Planning figure | At two hours per session |
|---|---|---|
| Core campaign | About 30 hours | About 15 sessions |
| Broad completion | Around 50 hours | About 25 sessions |
The session counts are simple arithmetic using the interview estimates. They are not an additional playtest result. Exploration, combat retries, reading documents and looking for collectibles can all change your total.
Optional quests, outfits and achievement cleanup create different stopping points. Use the trophy guide early if you want the platinum, because one avoidable quest outcome is more consequential than a few extra minutes spent exploring.
This page does not claim a verified fastest route, a speedrun record or a crowdsourced completion average. The interview predates release, so a later player dataset may support a different range. Its useful purpose now is setting aside roughly fifteen evenings for the main story, with more room if optional content is part of your plan.
