Is CONTROL Resonant open world?
Remedy describes large, distinct zones rather than an open world. Here is what that means for exploration and progression.

Reveal the game map through its pylon network, recognize ability gates, and find an external collectible map.
To reveal a zone's map, activate the three satellite sensors connected to its central pylon, then return and activate the pylon itself. For an external collectible map, MapGenie provides a Manhattan map and category checklists. This page explains navigation; it does not embed or reproduce that map.
From the central pylon, IGN's opening route heads northwest to a sensor, east to the next, then south toward the basketball court and nearby fast-travel point for the third. Once all three are active, return to the central installation. A sensor being active is not the final step.
The revealed map helps display nearby activities, vendors, fast-travel doors and places blocked by powers you lack. It is still a simplified view of a vertically distorted environment: the nearest-looking icon may be above or below your current route.
Spherical grapple points belong to Reach. Sideways and inverted surfaces can require Shift. If the route remains inaccessible, check the ability unlock table before searching for an ordinary door or assuming the marker is broken.
The developer describes distinct large zones rather than one open-world map. Progress and movement powers change what you can reach within them.
Open MapGenie's CONTROL Resonant map. Its index links separate lists for archive collectibles, camera locations, outfits, keycards, Testing Facilities, taxis, dogs and vendors. Availability and account features belong to that external service.
For a puzzle, coordinates alone may not be enough. Use The Last Taxi solutions for the car-selection rules, or Freeze Frame for how to approach the moving camera from behind.
